She discusses an often forgotten trait when making breeding decisions – temperament. Sandy gives tips on comparing the flighty nature of animals in a controlled environment. 

 

00:23:06 – Making the Most of 2023 Milk Prices: Despite higher feed costs in 2022, dairy producers saw a banner year for milk prices.  We end today’s show with K-State dairy specialist Mike Brouk looking at the numbers for 2022 and encouraging producers to focus on component values, primarily fat and protein, to receive higher raw milk prices in 2023.
