00:01:30 – Robotic Crop Maintenance:  K-State agricultural engineer Dan Flippo talks about in-crop robotic units for conducting various field operations, and the exciting possibilities for this kind of autonomous technology...he's currently developing a unit that can scout standing crops for insect activity, and intends on outfitting that with a sprayer that can spot treat insect infestations, funded by a USDA grant.

00:12:54 – Fighting ASF in Canada:  A guest speaker at K-State's 2019 Swine Day last Thursday: the veterinary consultant for the Canadian Pork Council and the president of Prairie Swine Health Services, Egan Brockhoff, talks about the preventative actions Canada is taking to exclude African swine fever from that country...he highlights the collaborative efforts between Canadian hog producers and government livestock health officials, as well as the cooperative efforts between Canada and the U.S.
