In addition to the cattle market report, Katelyn McCullock, director of the Livestock Marketing Information Center, discusses some unusual activity in the hog market, a slowdown in rebuilding the U.S. cattle herd and some of the things the LMIC will be watching closely in the coming months.


00:12:09 – Estimating First Hollow Stem to Reduce Yield Loss Potential: With spring just around the corner, K-State wheat and forage specialist Romulo Lollato shares insight on tools for estimating first hollow stem in wheat. The important growing stage serves as an indicator for when those with dual purpose systems need to consider removing animals from grazing to minimize grain yield losses.
