Agriculture Today is a daily program hosted by Eric Atkinson and distributed to radio stations throughout Kansas and as a daily podcast. It features K-State agricultural specialists and other experts examining agricultural issues facing Kansas and the nation.

00:01:43 - Antibiotic Resistance Issue:  K-State veterinarian Mike Apley, a national authority on the issue of antibiotic resistance as it relates to livestock production, talks about the current dialogue on the subject among human and animal health experts...he points out some of the public misperceptions that continue to exist, discusses the implementation of the Veterinary Feed Directive as a response, and stresses the importance of good stewardship in using antibiotics for human and livestock health treatment moving forward.
