Agriculture Today is a daily program featuring Kansas State University agricultural specialists and other experts examining ag issues facing Kansas and the nation. It is hosted by Eric Atkinson and distributed to radio stations throughout Kansas and as a daily podcast.

00:01:29 – Livestock Market Update:  Agricultural economist Katelyn McCullock of the Livestock Marketing Information Center is featured on the weekly cattle market segment:  she takes a closer look at the USDA's latest cold storage report and its implications for red meat supplies, and she discusses the significant decline in feeder cattle price volatility.

00:12:59 – 2018 K-State Ranching Summit:  K-State cow-calf production specialist Bob Weaber previews the 2018 K-State Ranching Summit, set for August 15th in Manhattan...the theme of this year's program is "Beef 2030--Pursuing Technology, Transparency and Profitability.

00:24:29 – FSA Committee Elections:  Outreach specialist Kitra Cooper of the Farm Service Agency reports that nominations for this year's county F-S-A committee elections are due this Wednesday, August 1st... she goes over the nomination guidelines.

00:32:59 – State Fair Preparation:  K-State 4-H events coordinator Sarah Keatley talks about 4-H youth preparing their projects for exhibit at the Kansas State Fair once the county fair season concludes.
